How to do a silhouette of your dog, or favorite pet, for the non-silhouette artist.

Take a profile photo of your pet.
Laser or ink jet print it to the size you will want to frame.
Decide if you want it in a color or black as I have done.
Cut a small circle around the pet's silhouette from the ink jet or laser paper.
Scotch tape this to the colored or black paper you will want for the finished art piece.
Straight-edge scissors will work best.  Many find barber scissors of high quality.
Slowly cut the pet's profile out.
If the pet has markings, as this one does, just cut them out of the paper as I have done.
For details, you can take your scissors and snip little hair-like pieces to give the doggie or
pet silhouette a life like look.

Paste this with a glue stick or repositional spray mount on the colored or white card stock you
will want as the background.
Enjoy your own bird, dog, cat, pig, horse, silhouette and be proud of your silhouettes of your loved ones!
If you need a fund-raiser for your school or non-profit contact CindiSilhouettes@gmail.com
I am also available to do portraits freehand, without the photo, by looking at you and directly cutting them out, for parties, events, weddings, holiday gatherings, business conventions, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.  A real silhouette artist normally just cuts from viewing the subject, but there is no reason, you should not enjoy a Do it Yourself Art project!
